Americus, Georgia - March 2007  On March 1st a line of thunderstorms passed through the southeastern U.S. which ended with the death of 20 people, mostly as a result of the multiple tornadoes that these storms spawned.  One of those tornadoes, an F3, passed directly through Americus.  Over the following weeks several teams of volunteers traveled to Americus, to help with the clean-up.  Click for Pix

Imagine this was your home...now imagine that you are confined to a wheel chair for the rest of your life.  Makes day-to-day living quite a challenge doesn't it?  That is the daily routine for our Brother Javier, in Mexico.  Our team has returned home safely, thank you for all of your prayers.  Javier is very excited about the new ramp and the doors that are open to him now.  Pray for Javy, as he continues to grow in Christ and allows Him to work through him, Javy could have a tremendous impact on his family and community.  Also remember David and Karen Nicholson, they can use our prayers and support as well, the work they have done and the impact they have had on a community that so desperately needs Christ is nothing short of a miracle.

Disaster Response Trailer -

UPDATE! 9/05 - Trailer is in use in Mississippi!!!

In late 2004, (after hurricane season) we began construction of The Connection's First Responder, Disaster Relief trailer.  Inspired by our friends at Samaritan's Purse, on a much smaller scale of course, our goal is to have this trailer ready by Spring of 2005 to respond at a moment's notice to any relief opportunities that may present themselves, to come to the aid of our neighbors in need, while taking every opportunity to share with them our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

Hurricane Charley -

Just a few days after Charley's land fall, Connection volunteers went to work with Pastor Nick Phoenix of Words To Works Ministries to deliver 3 trailer loads of food to hurricane victims in North Fort Myers, Fl.
